Sifu Ian Cameron was 60 this year (2004)!
Everyone involved in Five Winds Tai Chi Chuan
would like to wish him many more years of teaching!
The event, held in Edinburgh's famous Vittoria's Restaurant, was very well attended with nearly 60 students (59, if you want to be exact) coming from all over the UK. People came down from Aberdeen, across from Glasgow, up from the Borders and England and, of course, the local Edinburgh classes were also well represented.

Once everyone was packed in to the Party Room, the festivities could begin. The meal was excellent, but we don't have any photos of that because we were all busy eating...
|
John Burns, one of Ian's longest standing students, was prevailed upon on the night to give a short speech. He spoke about his own personal experience of training with Ian over the years...

Coffee arrives as Sifu is opening the Go set. |
It was a great evening's celebration, and everyone had a wonderful time. Ian has given a lot to all of us over the years, and it was good to be able to give something back. We would like to wish him many happy returns!
