Once again, Five Winds Tai Chi Chuan has been attending some competitions. More detailed stories will follow, but for the moment here are the results. The Nottingham Open The Nottingham Open took place on Sunday March 2, 2003. It was hosted by Practical Tai Chi Chuan, Nottingham. Craig McDonald and Andrew Cavanagh were competing for the Five Winds School, and Betty Sutherland was present as a judge. Craig won gold in the moving step pushing hands in the under 80kg category and a silver in the fixed step pushing hands under 80kg category. He won a silver for the open style hand form. In the open weapons competition he won a silver for sabre and bronze for the sword. Andrew won a gold in his hand form category. The British Open The British Open took place on Sunday April 14, 2003 in Oxford. Craig McDonald, Andrew Cavanagh and Betty Sutherland competed. Craig won a gold for moving pushing hands under 78kg and the spear and a bronze for each of fixed step pushing hands under 78kg and the hand form. Betty won a bronze for her hand form.
